Process

How a construction project runs

  1. Visit and measurements

We look at the space, measure and talk through what you want.

  2. Scope and estimate

Materials, options, order of work, permits where required, and the price.

  3. Ordering and scheduling

Materials are ordered and the schedule is set around their arrival.

  4. Protection and work

Floors, furniture and landscaping protected, then the work begins.

  5. Cleanup and walkthrough

We clean up and walk the job with you to catch anything left.

Made-to-order items like windows can take weeks to arrive, so the start date is set once materials are confirmed.

Before we arrive

  • Clear the rooms or area where the work happens
  • Choose styles and colors, or set aside time to choose them with us
  • Check HOA rules if you have an association
  • Tell us about pets and how the crew gets in

When the work is done

We walk the finished work with you, fix any punch-list items, and hand over product warranty paperwork.

Photos and paperwork from the job are kept with your job record.

Cost and timing

What affects your price

We don’t post prices, because two houses on the same street can need very different work. Your estimate is built from these factors.

Project size

Number of windows, square footage of siding, flooring or deck.

Materials

Product line, style and finish.

What's underneath

Rot, damaged framing or old layers found once work starts.

Permits

Decks, fences and some other work need permits in many municipalities.

Access

Second stories, tight spaces and site access affect setup time.

Timing

Material lead times set most schedules. Exterior work also depends on the weather.

Questions

Common construction questions

Do I need a permit for a deck or fence?

Often, yes. Rules are set by your township or borough, so we check what applies to your address.

Do you do kitchen or bathroom remodels?

No. We handle kitchen and bathroom plumbing repairs, but not remodeling.

Can you handle several projects at once?

Yes. Tell us everything you're planning and we'll schedule it in the right order, for example siding before painting.
